Current Photo Contests

The categories of the Competition are:

•  Plant Portraits;
•  Wildlife in the Garden;
•  Garden Views;
•  People in the Garden;
•  Trees;
•  World Botanic Gardens;
•   The Edible Garden.

2009 prizes are to be announced.

===Image files should be uploaded to the Site as jpegs with 800 pixels along the longest length and no bigger than 2mb in size. No responsibility can be taken by the organisers for images that are incorrectly submitted. Image files significantly larger than 2mb may be deleted by the system administrator. Normally this will be notified to the photographer but this cannot be guaranteed.

Digital manipulation by software such as Photoshop is allowed.

• Copyright: If your image is short-listed you will be contacted and invited to grant permission for your image to be used to promote the Competition and exhibition only. You grant International Garden Photographer of the Year and its supporting partners a non- exclusive, irrevocable, royalty free licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the photographs for any purpose connected with the Competition.
• Eligibility: The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. Entries are welcome from any country in the world. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image.
• Entry fee: Up to 4 images in any category: £10 per category
• Entry deadline: 31 January 2009
