Theme: Women by Women The history of photography has a long tradition of representing women as subjects but has less to say about women as artists. Today, the roles of women in photography are both behind the camera and in front of it. Who understands women better than women? The female perspective offers an important view of the many facets of womanhood and women’s role in society. This exhibition seeks women photographers who explore and celebrate the myriad ways that they render female-identifying subjects. Prizes: 35-40 Selected images will hang in the SE Center’s main gallery space for approximately one month with the opportunity to be invited for a solo show at a later date. Juror: Laurie Klein Image requirements: 1200 pixels @72 dpi on the longest side, Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. Online submission of digital photographs via the website.
