FinishedThe Hal Prize offers publication in the Peninsula Pulse’s annual Literary Issue, (circulation of 17,000). Cash awards of up to $150, a week stay at Write On, Door County (a literary retreat located in the heart of the Door Peninsula), a class at Peninsula School of Art (a nationally recognized year-round destination for artists and art appreciators), and other prizes will be awarded.
There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit in each category. Previously unpublished works only, please. Online submission of digital photographs via the website.
Photography submissions will be judged on their cover-worthiness and ability to reproduce on newsprint. Special consideration will be given to photos featuring people and places. Photo submissions are preferred as .jpg or .tiff files with only one photo per submission.
