• Copyright: You retain the copyright to their photographs but grant the Sponsors a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to print, publish, use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of your Contest entry, and display your full name and photograph in connection with your Contest entry, in any media formats and through any media channels.
• Entry fee: From $10 for category (3 images)
• Entry deadline: 8th June 2014
• Who can enter: Open to amateur photographers in Canada, excluding residents of Quebec who are over 18

Awards:

• $4,000 cash and equipment prize for Overall Winner: the Toronto Star Amateur Photographer of the Year.
• $4,000 cash and equipment prize for Best Photograph as selected by the Judging Panel.
• $4,500 prizes to be shared amongst the category winners.

Winners will be announced on 27 June 2014.

You can enter up to 27 photographs (up to 3 images in each category). Online submission of digital photographs via the website. Judging criteria: impact, originality, and creativity.

Image requirements: from 900 pixels to 2,400 pixels on any side.
