Embracing Our Differences invites art submissions for its 11th annual outdoor art exhibit celebrating diversity. National and international submissions are encouraged. 39 artists will be selected for the exhibit. The Exhibit will be displayed April and May 2014 at two venues – Island Park along Sarasota, Florida’s beautiful bayfront and Riverwalk in Bradenton, FL.
Theme: “Embracing our differences”
This may include any one or more of the following: appearance, racial differences, physical or mental impairment, language, religious or cultural differences, environmental stewardship, social economic status, sexual orientation or identity, positive attitude, inclusiveness, self-acceptance, taunting and bullying, confrontation, human rights and equality, understanding and kindness, empowerment OR ANY OTHER TOPIC which you believe furthers the theme of “enriching lives through diversity.”
Awards:
- Best In Show (Adult): A single $1,000 cash award
- Best In Show (Student): A $1,000 cash award. This prize money will be awarded directly to the student’s school.
- People’s Choice: A $1,000 cash award will be presented at the end of the exhibit to the submission that receives the most votes by visitors to the exhibit who complete our survey form.
There is no limit on the number of entries. Online submission of digital photographs via the website, or by email.
Image requirements: high-resolution (300 dpi) digital photos.
