The University of Cardiff now wants you to think about what engineering means to you and photograph the impact it is has had on your life. You don’t need scientifc knowledge or engineering expertise to enter this competition. Anybody can take part. We want you to look within your own lives and find out what the applications of engineering research means to you. 

Categories:

1. Most creative interpretation of the brief
2. Best technical image
3. Best manipulated image
4. Best picture taken on a mobile phone
5. Under 16s

Prizes:

• Overall winning image – £1,000 cash prize
• £500 runner up prizes

Remember to include an entry form. Digital adjustments are only acceptable if submitted under the category ‘Best Manipulated Image’ (Although basic darkroom-equivalent changes such as cropping, brightness, sharpening or spot/blemish removal are allowed across all categories).
