FinishedParticipants are invited to send in their photographic vision of what the “New Irish” means to them. Whether it is a fresh take on Irish Eyes or on the Celtic Tiger, the innovative contest is sure to spark creative submissions as clever as Clontarf’s own campaign. All accepted entries will be posted to the Clontarf website.
The grand prize is $5,000 and the winning photograph will be included in Clontarf’s marketing campaign.
“The Clontarf website is clever and irreverent. We looked at our target demographic and decided to take an unexpected direction for an Irish whiskey. We took some cues from the vodka and beer categories, put an Irish twist on it and let loose,” said Roseann Sessa, vice president marketing and public relations. “The photography contest is a natural extension of our very visual ‘New Irish’ campaign. The proliferation of digital cameras and camera phones makes it easy for everyone to be a photographer. We are not looking for a technically perfect photograph—we are looking for an attitude that expresses the New Irish.”
