Food Photographer of the Year 2022Prizes:

  • The overall winner of the title of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2024 will receive £5000 GBP.
  • The winner of the Pink Lady® Moments of Joy category will win £1,500GBP.
  • The winner of the Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year category will win £1000GBP.
  • The winner of the Production Paradise Previously Published category will win a special feature in the Production Paradise Spotlight Food & Drink Photography online magazine, along with a 12-image gallery of their work.
  • The winner of the Hotel Art Group Cream of the Crop category will win £300GBP for use against One Vision Imaging services
  • The winner of the MPB Award for Innovation will win an MBP voucher for £1000GBP to spend on any used photography or videography equipment at MPB.com

Image requirements: JPEG files (jpg or jpeg); no more than 16mb; no more than 1920 pixels along the longest dimension; you must be able to supply a high resolution file, suitable for printing in all media and for inclusion in an Exhibition. These images must have a resolution of at least 300dpi printed at A2 size.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS FOR YOU:
here are a few common angles you can use to successfully photograph food: A 45 degree angle shows food as if you were sitting down to eat it. This is one of my favorite angles, as it shows so much beautiful texture. There will usually be more focus towards the front of the dish.<> Shooting from top down (directly overhead) can show the entire dish in even focus (if everything is the same height), but you lose some of the texture. <>A straight on angle can be used to show height if, for example, you are showing a stacked sandwich or a drink.
