“ABSTRACTIONS” Art Competition
“Abstraction”, from the Latin “abstractio”, is the process of thought for which an element is isolated from all the others to which it was connected and is considered as a particular object of research, the same procedure that tends to separate the essential qualities of an object to obtain the universal concept about that. We find a procedural peculiarity in the expressive language adopted in the twentieth century with the artists who interpret abstract art, where the separation operation is carried out with the intention of exalting that still too unknown side of the human being: emotionality and perceptions subjective of reality. It is thus that form becomes the result of the encounter between man and the world, in an alternation of empathy, of getting closer to reality and escaping from it.
