• Copyright: All rights remain to the file and print with the photographer, to be used only with their prior consent. Exhibition print will not be sold, but used in our flatfile at Black Box Gallery only to promote the photographers work.
• Entry fee: $35 for up to 5 photos
• Entry deadline: 6th September 2018
• Who can enter: Open to all photographers, worldwide.

Theme: Poetics of Light

This juried group photography show at Black Box Gallery will focus on the quality and drama of light in photography. Light is the foundation of great photography and photographers need to know the importance of seeing and controlling the luminosity of light in pictures. Exposure, direction, highlight, shadow and contrast all play a major roll in creating striking and magical pictures. Black Box is looking for a diversity of works exploring this dynamic theme of light in photography.

Award

• Exhibition in Black Box Gallery, Portland Oregon  (Oct 1-20, 2018)
• Black Box will provide for free all framing, matting and printing for the exhibitions.

Submission of digital images by email: info@blackboxgallery.com
Image requirements: Jpeg format; 1024 pixels on the longest side at 72 DPI, 2MB or less each (saved). The photographers who are selected into the exhibition will provide a high resolution Tiff file for our gallery to print for the exhibition.
