Rebecca Vassie Memorial Award
The award is a £1,200 bursary, plus printing, exhibition and mentorship, for an emerging photographer in or from the UK to complete a narrative photography project with a strong social or political context.
The award:
- a grant of £1,200
- a selection of images professionally printed by Metro Imaging and exhibited in London, March 2017
- one or more professional mentors to facilitate the project
Please propose a ‘narrative photography’ project. To us, this means photographic or photojournalistic work with some implied editorial aspect. It is a broad term. But in short: the result should be a series of new photographs which tell a human story. We
won’t support – for example – still life, nature or astrological photography that does not have a social or political context.
Submit:
- Your proposal (either a document, an audio file or a link to an audio / video hosting site)
- Your CV (no more than 2 sides of A4) including details of two professional referees.
- A PDF (no more than 15 MB) with eight examples of your photographic work. You may add a short caption / description for each image.
