• Copyright: You retain full copyright to the submitted images. All entrants grant an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to IREX, to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries.

• Who can enter: Open to all photographers who are 18+ yo, worldwide.

Categories:

• Technology, Information & Participation – Photos should explore how technology helps citizens get the information, news and education they need to more fully participate in their own communities.
• Improving Communities – Photos should explore how citizens mobilize to address important issues related to conflict, the environment, gender, etc.
• Education & Employment – Photos should explore how education can prepare youth, women and others to participate in the workforce and improve the economic vitality of developing countries.

Prizes:

• Grand Prize – $500
• Best in each category – $200
• People’s choice – $200

Winners will be announced by July 31, 2013.

Online submission of digital photographs via the website. You can enter up to 5 images.

Judging criteria:

• Relevance to theme 50%
• Photographic quality 25%
• Creativity 25%

Image requirements: high-resolution digital photograph; jpg or png format; not more than 10MB in size
