• Copyright: You irrevocably grant Sponsor the unconditional and perpetual (non-exclusive) right and permission to copyright, reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use your photo as-is or as-edited (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party

• Entry deadline: 15th November 2012
• Who can enter: Open to legal residents of the United States, 18+ years of age and who have a Twitter account or an Instagram account.

Use the Instagram photography application on your smart phone or the photo feature of Twitter to take a digital photograph that creatively demonstrates how you conserve or make efficient use of energy in their daily lives.

Prizes:

• Eight  American Express gift cards in the amount of $50.00 each.
• Grand Prize: One American Express gift card in the amount of $1,419.00.

There will be eight weekly contest rounds. Grand Prize winner will be announced on or before November 30, 2012.

You may enter as many times as you like.

Judging criteria:

• creativity and originality
• the degree to which the photo reflects or illustrates the theme of the Contest, From Chemistry to Energy
• the artistic and journalistic quality of the image and caption.
