• Copyright: Each contestant will retain copyrights to their submitted photo(s) grant River to Well royalty-free use of the images (full credit given) for use in public exhibitions and displays, in media releases related to the contest, and in printed and electronic publications.
• Entry fee: 1 entry -- $15; 2 entries -- $25; 3 entries -- $30; 4 entries OR more -- $35 + $5 for every additional entry over 4
• Entry deadline: 30th September 2012
• Who can enter: Open to all photographers worldwide.

The River to Well Photo Competition uses 100% of the entry fees collected to implement water supply {new wells or well restorations} for communities that don’t have a reliable and sustainable source of clean water.

• PEOPLE: Portraits, festivals, ceremonies, daily life, etc.
• PLACES: Landscape, architecture, monuments, cultural objects, etc.
• PLANTS & ANIMALS: Plants and animals

Prizes of valuable consideration:

• Winners will be selected for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place within each category.
• A single Grand Prize also will be selected for each of the 3 divisions, and may be from any category.
• The 2012 Judging Committee will judge the Grand Prize and Place Winners.
• The 2012 River to Well Team will pick Honorable Mentions to be in the River to Well Exhibitions

You may submit multiple entries under any category. Online submission of digital photographs via the website.

Image requirements: JPG format; no less than 240 dpi, and no greater than 5mb in size. If saved through Photoshop, the quality must be set to no less than 10. No HDR. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, adjustments to
color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.
