• Copyright: The winner will transfer to the Orginiser rights for the use of submitted images for promotional and communication purposes and for the exhibition.
• Entry fee: Free
• Entry deadline: 10th March 2012
• Who can enter: Open to all photographers worldwide.

The award will give attention to works focusing on people and their social and cultural stories; public or private, minor or crucial, big human tragedies or petty daily stories, changes and immutability. The story the photographer will be able to tell through compelling images that entail the definition of ‘social reportage’ will be the core of the jury’s key to interpretation.

Awards:

• The cash award of € 3,000 will be granted to the photographers whose work contributes to bringing people’s attention to significant social and human events and who are not usually adequately rewarded.
• The winning reportage will be exhibited during the Festival of Ethical Photography as an integral part of the 2012 edition.

The recipient of the award will be notified by 20th  of March 2012.

Judging criteria: the ability of the photographer to build a narrative and emotional story with a compelling series of images.

Image requirements: black and white or colour pictures; JPEG format; sized to shortest dimension at no more than 1080 pixels (72dpi preferred).

Submit digital images on a CD or DVD by mail. Reportages must consist of min 15-max 25 images. The series of images will have to form a focused and meaningful story.
