Photocompete

• Copyright: Artists retain ownership of copyright and have an option to sell printed images.
• Entry fee: $35 for the initial image and $10 for each of 2 additional images.
• Entry deadline: 7th January 2011
• Who can enter: Open to professional and amateur photographers living within North America.

The images chosen will focus on beauty in the natural environment, the degradation of the environment by human activity, and attempts to reclaim or restore spoiled habitats. In sum, the photographs will highlight the importance of developing a sustainable environment.

   • restoration or renewal

Prizes:

1. $1,500
2. $1,000
3. $500

• The top photographs will be published in Palm Springs Life magazine.

Entries will be judged both on relevance to the show’s goal and artistic accomplishment. Images should be in jpg format, 1920 x 1920 pixels in size, and no larger than 1.8 MB. This may require editing the pictures to the correct size. Photographers may submit up to 3 images.
