• Copyright: By entering the competition, Participants grant Archant Ltd and its Competition Partners an irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide royalty-free license to reproduce, publicly display, distribute, publicly perform and create derivative works from their Submitted Materials, in all media, solely in connection with the administration, judging and promotion of the Great British Photograph 2010 competition. Submitted Materials will NOT be used for commercial advertising purposes and will NOT be altered without the prior consent of the author, except as necessary to display or distribute them in a particular medium or format.

• Who can enter: Open to all photographers over the age of 16 (natural persons and not corporate entities).

The Great British Photograph welcomes your favourite photographs taken in any county in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales. You will have the chance to have your photographs appear in one of the county, regional or city magazines published by Archant Life and in Photography Monthly magazine.

The categories are the names of the counties themselves.

Prizes:

• The overall winner of the Great British Photograph 2010 competition will win £5000.

You can enter photographs you have taken of landscapes, people, events, objects or buildings, in fact, anything or anybody that you feel sums up the spirit of a particular county at any time of the year. You can also enter as many images as you like by simply uploading them below. Each county and the Greater London area will have an overall winning image and commended images chosen by Photography Monthly editor Grant Scott and the editor of the appropriate Archant Life magazine. The winning images from each area will then go forward to a national final to be judged by a panel of professional judges to decide the overall winning photograph — the Great British Photograph.

Each entrant may submit an unlimited amount of images per category and may enter as many categories as they wish. Entry images must be available at sufficiently high resolution so that they can be printed at a standard acceptable for display in printed media. Entry images must be clearly titled with the county name the photographer wishes to enter. Please do not use any spacing in the file names.
