Images may be of any artist working in any discipline, including but not limited to…visual artists, writers, musicians, film makers, animators, actors, dancers, and poets.
While any image will be considered for inclusion in the exhibition, photographers are encouraged to be creative in their work. It is NOT intended that images should be standard portrait studio type head and shoulders shots. The photograph might, for instance, capture the artist in a contemplative moment, or posed in an environment that is particularly significant to him or her. Innovative lighting and compelling composition will be important factors in evaluating submitted works. A portrait may consist of anything from a partial face to a full body shot. It is NOT necessary that the subject’s face be included in the shot, ( for instance a back view or close-up of a distinguishing feature like the subjects hands ). It is not necessary that the artist portrayed be shown involved in art or in an art related environment, although the portrayal of the spirit or essence of the artist’s character, and the character of their work, will be a strong consideration.
Cash Awards:

- $100 USD for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes
