CDS/Honickman First Book Prize in PhotographyThe prize’s focus is on creating an opportunity for photographers who are engaged in the creation of a continued, active, and vital body of work to publish a first book. To this end, photographers who have a self-published, print-on-demand, or limited-edition book (with a print run of 100 copies or more) that is currently being promoted and sold on the Internet are not eligible for the award.

The winner will be announced to the public in January 2017.

Enter 40 photographs (drawn from an ongoing or recently completed project, which represent a coherent body of work suitable for publication. At least twenty-five of these images must have been made within the last three years (from 2012 on)), 40 captions, a 1-page artist’s statement, and a 1-page C.V.

Judge: Melissa Harris

Finalists will be asked to submit 10 sample prints from the body of their submitted work for Prize

Image requirements: sized at around 1024 x 768 pixels at 72 ppi.
