• Copyright: Photographers retain all rights to their work, except for submissions accepted for exhibition: artists grant Darkroom Gallery the right to use their images to promote the exhibition and for display on Darkroom Gallery website and for inclusion in an exhibit catalog
• Entry fee: Up to four images $24 US for on-line submission and $5 US per additional image
• Entry deadline: 9th July 2014
• Who can enter: Open to all photographers, worldwide.

Theme: Blue is a favorite color of all people, yet it has more complex and contradictory meanings than any other hue.

For this show we are looking for all types of blue images and meanings. All the variances of the color: electric, royal, baby, periwinkle, azure, midnight, navy, dark and light.  We are intrigued by naturally occurring blues and man-made blues alike. Whole images consisting of the color, or the choice sections of a photograph that astutely display the power of blue.

Awards:

• All selected entries are exhibited in the gallery [14 Aug – 7 Sept 2014] and included in a full color exhibit catalog.
• Juror’s Choice receives a 30×48" vinyl exhibit banner featuring their image, free entry into a future exhibition and a free exhibition catalog.
• Honorable Mentions receive free exhibition catalogs and free entry in a future exhibition.
• We offer free matting and framing of accepted entries for the duration of each of our exhibition, subject to standard sizes. Photographers set their own prices if they wish to sell their work and retain all rights to their photographs.

Image requirements: no larger than 1280 pixels on the longest side, jpg format; saved at the highest quality; sRGB color space.

Online submission of digital photographs via the website or by email. There is a $5.00 surcharge for email entries.
