Theme: Technology in Photography

The field of photography has never before seen so much diversity of technology driven imagery. From the popularity of the DSLR and high-tech I Phone to the low tech plastic Holga camera, photographers are getting their shots of how they perceive and experience the world. How does technology influence contemporary photographers in their quest to interpret and understand their artist practices and give meaning to their artistic visual process of creating imagery.

Award:

  • 20 photographers will be slected for this exhibition in Black Box Gallery, Portland Oregon  (April 1-22, 2012)
  • Black Box will provide all framing, matting and printing for our exhibitions.

You may submit up to five images. Email them to: [email protected]  with email title: "Technology: High and Low"

Image requirements: Jpeg format, 1024 pixels on the longest side at 72 DPI, 2MB or less each (saved). The photographers who are selected into the exhibition will provide a high resolution Tiff file for our gallery to print for the exhibition.
