• Copyright: Contestants retain ownership of their photos and grant Contest Sponsors a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use the Photo Submission in perpetuity in connection with the activities and operations of the Contest.

• Who can enter: Open to all photographers worldwide, 14+ years of age

Theme: “Dance with Us: Motion Across Cultures"

Enter your photo that represents dance in your community or culture. This Photo Contest is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Prizes:

• Two final winners will receive the grand prize: an iPad 2 tablet computer,
• 18 runners-up will each receive an ExchangesConnect T-shirt and  a set of postcards of the winning photos.
• Local winners from eligible countries participating in DanceMotion USA’s 2012 tour will be eligible to receive backstage passes to meet the dancers.
• The winners’ photos will be displayed at the U.S. Department of State and in various Contest Sponsor media channels.

Image requirements: JPG, GIF or PNG format; no larger than a 10 megapixel file size; at least 72 dots per inch (dpi); without any visible any watermarks, signatures, or personally identifiable information. Nothing in the photographs (people, animals, scenery, objects, etc.) may be altered, removed, augmented or rearranged. Cropping is permitted, as is modest darkening or lightening of parts of the image.
