The magic of the still life is the transcendence of the artist’s vision over everyday, sometimes mundane, subject matter. From Edward Weston’s peppers to Peter Hujars’s tenement debris, the still life magically transforms the flotsam and jetsam of our ordinary lives into fine art. 1650 Gallery welcomes your take on the still life.
