Prizes:

• Grand Prize  – $1,000 Canadian
• Travellers’ Choice Award – a high-capacity backpack, Verge t-shirt and first aid kit.
• Category Winners – a travel prize pack, including a laptop/daypack, t-shirt and Verge subscription.
• Short-listed Images – Up to fifteen images in each contest category will be short-listed, for exhibition at the 2011 Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver Go Global Expos and for publication in the Photo Annual Edition of Verge Magazine.

You may submit up to five entries to each category. Only online submission. Image requirements: at least 1500 x 2100 pixels. You may use these adjustments: levels, curves, brightness, contrast, shadow and highlight levels, saturation, sharpening and noise reduction, cropping and selected burning or shading. Any other techniques or filters, including combinations of images and compositional changes, are not acceptable.
