South Korea’s leading news wire service Yonhap News Agency (YNA) invites photojournalists who have tried on assignment to figure out a difference between dreams and reality to embody a fragment of truth that is powerful enough to change the world.

Categories:

  • Common Prosperity of Human Beings
  • Enhancement of International Peace
  • Environmental Protection, Measures against Climate Change

Prizes:

  • Grand Prize (one from all categories): $30,000
  • Yonhap Media Group Prize in support of the UN MDGs (one from all categories): $10,000
  • Gold Prize (6 from 3 Single and 3 Story categories): $5,000
  • Silver Prize (6 from 3 Single and 3 Story categories): $3,000
  • Bronze Prize (6 from 3 Single and 3 Story categories): $1,000
  • Merit Prize & Honorable Mention: Some from each category

You can submit your images in these contests:

    • Singles Contest – Up to 10 pieces per entrant
    • Stories Contest – Up to 5 pieces (A piece of story may contain 2-10 photos) per entrant

Image requirements: File size: 2MB to 6MB; at least 2,500 pixels in length on the longer end; JPG format with the highest quality setting; Adobe RGB/sRGB color image or black and white image; embedded ICC profile and metadata is required. Only the minimum level of rpost processing retouching is allowed like cropping, toning and burning.

A submission piece that is thought to cover multiple themes may be submitted to the most appropriate category. Such pieces may be transferred to and judged at categories other than the originally submitted category for the selection for an award.

Films, slide films or scanned photos are not accepted! Entries submitted by e-mail or post will not be accepted. Online submission only.
