Photocompete

• Copyright: Each entrant of the Contest grants to HFHI a on-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide license to his or her copyright rights (e.g. to use, reproduce, copy, publish, display, distribute, adapt, or modify) in the submitted photograph(s) for use by HFHI in any media, with or without attribution to the entrant and without any further compensation. This license does not convey ownership of copyright to HFHI, and each entrant will retain ownership of copyright and may exploit the photographs submitted for any lawful purpose.

• Entry deadline: 11th April 2010
• Who can enter: Open to entrants at least 18 years of age as of the date of entering the Contest.

Habitat World wants to see images that you think communicate something vital about the organization’s life-changing work. We will be looking as much at the ideas and emotions that each image conveys as we will be at the technical skills brought to bear. Volunteers, houses, families, the need in your community — show us what Habitat means to you and why the work we all do together remains such an important priority.

Prize:

• A trip to Nepal (air transportation and GV fees for the Nepal trip in 2010, including modest daily accommodations and meals). Estimated value of
  $4,500. September 30 – October 10, 2010

Each entrant may enter up to a total of three individual images.
Photographs may be submitted in two ways:

1. Upload images to the Habitat World contest group on Habitat’s Flickr page,www.flickr.com/groups/habitatworld_photocontest_2010/.
2. Mail a disk to: Shala Carlson, Habitat World, Habitat for Humanity International, 270 Peachtree St. NW, Suite 1300,Atlanta, GA, 30303. Be sure to label the submitted disk with name and contact information. We will be unable to returnsubmitted disks, so please send copies only. No phone calls, please.

Short explanatory captions, including the date and location of each image, should be included at the time of entry. If uploading images to Flickr, please create a caption. If submitting photos by disk, please embed the caption information in the photo file or include captions in a document saved on the disk.
