The Viewfinder Photography Competition

December Theme: Our Changing Environment

As the world’s focus turns to Copenhagen and climate change, Demotix wants you to document environmental changes and issues local to you. Be creative. From extreme weather to pollution to over-fishing, we want to see stories showing how humans are affecting the environment - or how the environment is affecting us.

There are no restrictions on how often you can enter nor when the story was taken. This is the perfect time to upload those stunning photos from your archive, or to go out to get a new story.

Prizes:

  • First Place: the opportunity to turn your photojournalism into a beautiful coffee-table book. Blurb, custom book publishers for the masses, will allow the winner to produce and customize their own bookstore-quality book or books, up to the value of £50.
  • Second Place will receive 60 postcards of their best work, beautifully printed onto glossy stock.
  • Third place takes a set of Moo’s innovative mini-cards, ideal for creating a pocket portfolio with a range of your images to enhance your personal brand as a photojournalist.

===

It’s incredibly simple. Upload your photos as normal, and choose the category Environment. Every feature story will be considered for the award.
