FindYourArtSchool.com Young Adult Art CompetitionThe FindYourArtSchool.com Young Adult Art Competition, sponsored by The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division, is geared towards helping current students & prospective art school students gain experience through competition. Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes.

PRIZE AND PRIZE VALUES: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded: $2,500 cash, One (1) First Prize: $600 cash and One (1) Second Prize: $400 cash. Total retail value of all prizes $3,500.

Submission Requirements: (1)Must be in digital form (format should be any acceptable web image format that is able to display on the website: ie. jpeg, gif, png.), (2) Submission file must be under 2mb, (3) Must have a title, (4) Must be your own work, (5) Cannot take any elements from any other artists pieces.

    There is no reason why the sponsor should need to receive all these rights on every submitted image… it would be reasonable to grant rights to sponsor for promotional use for the contest/school for those images that actually place in the contest.

    Egregious rights grab.

    Irene, if you ask my personal opinion, I agree with you. But it is a photo contest and as long as the copyright policy is clealy stated, one can decide whether or not to take part.
